Corporate finance gaps are almost always settled inside top firms. Japanese executives are never so harshly punished even when huge crimes deceive, injure & kill.

My friend Waseda Prof Masataka Ota 太田正孝先生 would have had useful comments - he knew Carlos Ghosn and published extensively about him, but Masa tragically died 52 days before Ghosn's arrest.  😢
